Dental.me is an independent dentist directory built to help people find and compare dental practices using clear, factual, sourced information. The directory is national: 245,451 practice profiles across 12,516 city directories in 56 U.S. states and territories. Florida was built out first and is the one state with a published coverage report.
We organize dental practices by city and specialty so you can compare them on the details that matter — location, services, hours, public ratings, and how complete each profile is — and then confirm specifics with the office. We are a directory and information service, not a dental provider, and nothing here is medical advice.
Profiles are assembled from several sources, and no single source covers every profile: the federal NPPES provider registry (matched to 173,125 of 249,344 catalogued records), public business data (such as Google/Maps) where available, practice websites, owner-submitted updates on claimed profiles, user corrections, and direct office confirmation when our staff completes it. County is derived from ZIP using the U.S. Census ZCTA-to-county relationship file. Each profile reflects what is known and, where applicable, when it was last updated. Practices are organized into city and city-specialty pages and ordered by an independent Dental.me Score built from the Google star rating, a confidence cap set by review count, and a verification lift of up to 3 points. Profile completeness is not part of the score; it only breaks close comparisons after it. Ranking cannot be bought. Read how we rank.
Most profiles are free and built from Dental.me data; practices can also claim their profile for free to keep it current. Some practices purchase a Featured placement, which is always labeled “Featured · Ad” or “Paid placement,” kept separate from organic results, and never changes organic ranking. Our rankings and editorial content are produced independently of advertising. We do not invent services, insurance acceptance, availability, or reviews, and we do not publish our own aggregate ratings from third-party data.
