Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for paid Dental.me services. It forms part of our Terms of Service and, for Featured placements, our Featured Placement Terms.

1. How billing works

Paid placements are sold as automatically recurring subscriptions. Before you pay, we disclose the exact recurring amount, the billing frequency, and how to cancel. When you complete payment you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method that amount, at that frequency, until you cancel.

After purchase we send an acknowledgment by email confirming what you bought, the recurring amount and frequency, and how to cancel. Your rate is locked for as long as you continuously keep that placement — we will not raise the price of a placement you hold.

2. How to cancel

You can cancel at any time, in either of these ways:

  • Online — open your practice dashboard and choose Cancel Featured. We will first offer to push your next payment back 30 days, free; if you still want to cancel, confirm and it is done. This is the fastest method and is available at any time.
  • By email — write to support@dental.me from the email address on file for the practice.

You do not need to call us, wait for a representative, or explain why. Cancellation stops all future charges. Your placement stays live through the end of the period you have already paid for, then ends. Your free practice listing remains published after cancellation — cancelling a paid placement never removes your practice from the directory.

3. Refunds

No refunds — cancel anytime

Featured placements are month to month and you can cancel at any time. When you cancel, your placement stays live through the end of the period you have already paid for, then ends, and no further charges are made. Because we pay for your press release and its news distribution when your placement starts, payments already made are not refundable, and we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months. The only exceptions are billing errors and service failures, described below.

Billing errors

If you believe you were charged in error — a duplicate charge, a charge after a valid cancellation, or a charge in the wrong amount — contact us and we will correct it and refund the difference. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can almost always resolve it faster.

Service failures

If a placement you paid for was not delivered — for example it never went live, or was interrupted for a material period due to a fault on our side — contact us and we will credit or refund the affected period.

4. What is not refundable

  • Payments already made, except billing errors or service failures as described above.
  • Partial or unused portions of a paid period.
  • Placements terminated because of a breach of our Terms of Service — for example claiming a practice you are not authorized to represent, or submitting false information.

5. If we change or end a placement

If we discontinue a market or remove a placement for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused portion of the period you paid for on a pro-rated basis. If we must decline or remove a placement because the underlying practice information cannot be verified, we will refund the unused portion.

6. Failed payments

If a recurring charge fails, we may retry the payment and will notify you. If payment cannot be collected, we may suspend and then release the placement. You can restore service by updating your payment method, though a released placement may have been taken by another practice, and a lapsed rate lock may not be recoverable.

7. Questions and disputes

We would rather fix a billing problem than have you dispute it. Contact us first:
